The human behind clinical data management in different working models

The session explores the setup of different data management accounts and working structures, and the intricacies of the human behind the clinical data management process in different working models.

The different working models in data management will be explored to point out similarities in teams which are strongly structured to ensure company specify procedures are followed or highly adaptive to accommodate sponsor expansion. Together with pointing out the advantages of diverse working teams to accommodate different locations and time zones of the project team.

The session will investigate soft skills such as clear communication, respect, and the ability to absorb constructive feedback as these are all attributes in which different accounts and working environments in data management teams rely on when working as the main contact person or with the sponsor counterpart. Together with these soft skills the sponsor relies on the CRO to have the technical skills to ensure the sponsors’ needs are met.

While all is not sunshine and rainbows in a business partnership, there are some ways to identify sensitive areas that might cause friction beforehand. The session will answer the questions how these challenges should be identified and acknowledged, and touch on what mitigation plans can be set in place for these challenges to ensure it is easier to overcome them.
