Industry Academia Connect: SCDM x Durham Tech

Free event for students and academic faculty only

This session brings students and their faculty together with the CDM professionals who work in the field every day. Students from Durham Tech will meet practitioners, learn what clinical data management involves and see where a career in it can lead. For many, it's a first introduction to SCDM and to the range of opportunities the profession holds.

It's also an open invitation to conference attendees. Come and spend time with the people entering the field next: hear how students view clinical data management, what draws them to it and what they're looking for as they start out. Their perspective is a useful read on where the profession is heading.

Connecting industry and academia this way is central to how SCDM works. The profession grows by bringing new people in, and that only happens when those hiring, those teaching and those studying are talking to each other. Industry Academia Connect is one of the ways we keep that conversation going.
